Instruction Methods For Flexijoint Waterstops Jointing With Heater Blade & JIG

Reliable jointing of Flexijoint waterstops can be carried out rapidly on site with a heater blade. An electric heater blade is available and provide for all Flexijoint waterstops series. 

When jointing, 

1. Make sure that ends of the Flexijoint waterstops to be jointed are of the same width and profile, clean them with water or a non oily solvent;
2. Cut both ends off square with a sharp knife;
3. Place the Flexijoint waterstops side by side against the heater blade and press until it is melt without burning or charring;
4. Removed the heater blade with an upward movement;
5. Quickly joint the molten ends together;
6. Hold the Flexijoint waterstops together firmly for approximately 20 seconds to allow the molten Flexijoint waterstops fuse completely;
7. Switch off the heater blade;
8. While the heater blade is still hot, clean thoroughly with a wire brush and ready for the next joint.
